On Monday June 4, 2012, Newly elected San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi and former member of the Board of Supervisors, attended the monthly meeting of The Parents United Committee (The Committee), in response to an invitation to come, speak and answer questions from its members regarding his conviction on a plea bargain for the false imprisonment of his wife, Eliana Lopez, stemming from a over blown marital incident on Dec. 31, which was morphed into a Domestic Violence (DV) incident by the 'Powers that be' and the local media.

Timeout required on the inquisition of SF Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi

With the yardstick we measure, all of us shall be measured, unless...

... cooler heads prevail by putting a stop to this real life charade and travesty of justice that while allegedly upholding ethical behavior and fighting domestic violence (DV), obviously we are not, because if we are talking about ethical behavior of public officials in a fair and just manner to implement corrective/preventive actions and measures, these should be equally applied if, when and where needed, as we very much should always at least strive to do; then, under these qualifiers, these standards are not being followed in the San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi case thus, the expectations are not, and will not, be met.

This proposal is a partial answer to the ongoing critical problems in the United States of America. The tone of the political and social rhetoric dominating the American landscape challenges all efforts to solve these problems. Additionally, there is no clear assignment of responsibilities amongst those wanting to address the problems and no clear reference point for solutions given the dismal failure of the tactics used to date. These conditions lead us to a deep and detailed exploration of the problems and issues we face; thus, our effort to offer a model of economic change that supports a progressive agenda.

RE background in Letter to San Francisco Archbishop, Reverend George H. Niederauer, in reference to the possible sale and the final disposition of Historic Landmark, Latin-American Cultural Legacy and Icon (Spa), Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

This matter, or possible issue, has it's genesis in 1992, when a 'cash-strapped' Archdiocese was looking for revenue sourcer to meet their Financial Legal Liabilities, it decided to close several Churches, including Our Lady of Guadalupe. Members of the Catholic Community mobilized to stop these plans, in 1994, a partial victory was achieved, the building was declared San Francisco Historical Landmark #204, the church itself ceased to exist as a Parish and non-parish use for it were found It has housed a Chinese Catholic School ever since. (A brand new $27M dollars building is in the final stage of it's construction, is scheduled to be inaugurated in 2011 and the school will be relocated there, living the church's building vacat again)

In my delusions of being a journalist/reporter, this is the aspect of it that I like the least, having to inform of stories that hurt and make me sad, but it also brings me to reminisce about what it meant to me and what I'm personally losing, only two blocks away from where I reside.

We just lost another small (Family) business in the Mission District in San Francisco.
