I should be amused, maybe sad at seeing how some people can make more than one statement and expect people to believe that both are true, when in reality, it is self-evident they are mutually exclusive.
But some people believe them without question, worse yet, they make decisions based upon these beliefs, even worse yet! They are voters that would elect people like them to enact horribly regressive legislation.
This is one of the many, many items that have me seeing 'purple' now.
This point was also made by a Diarist at DailyKos.
Thanks to the Media who love to make something out of 'A' nothing, such as Glenn Beck, simply because it is so outrageously stupid, you have heard 'ALL ABOUT' the Teabaggers and their 'movement', we have heard 'ALL ABOUT' the Supreme Commander and Leader of GlennBeckistan and his ????? Corporate-funded-event to the WA Mall and then tried to wrap himself in Rev. Martin Luther King's mantle, while at the same time attempting to discredit what Dr. MLK said and stood for.
Here is the item, this is rich:
This is that part of Beck's speech that gives me pause to think how can anybody can be so gullible to believe that without question -- Beck said that "the 'principles of God' have been absent from America for 240 years."
Does this mean that the American people turned their backs on God in 1770?
If that's so, then try to explain this to me... And maybe others:
How is it possibly that the USA could have been founded as a 'Christian nation' when the people founding it had abandoned 'the eternal principles of God' nineteen years before the Constitution was ratified?
Other question which also needs an answer is: How come the MSM it is not pointing out these discrepancies?
On that question, I will go with what Gilda Radner would say "Nevermind"
