Without failure, I get really ticked off when the high and mighty power elite screws up badly, they always do and they immediately start to wiggle, weasel, lie and unfailingly always blame and try to destroy the messenger and thus change the framing of the issue and debate.
Another favorite tactic of the bastardized 'Conservative Movement', is to say: "Never mind the slimy things that I did, the disclosure of my crap was done for political reasons"
Do the Democrats, Progressives, etc., do that? I mean, disclosing scandals for political gains?
Well, I'd say: I hope they do, these Right-Wing-Nuts hypocrites need to be exposed as they are, specially considering that their Regressive side plays dirty even with their own, and without basis most of the time, remember 'John McCain having a illicit child, of color?", nobody needs a reminder of what Carl Rove track record is, we can go on, and on listing cases of their chicanery.
On the other hand, notwithstanding our side is not immune to these type of despicable characters, if and when people on our side try to pull crappola like that, they screw it up so bad that it blows in their faces at best, back-fires at worst, also, I might be wrong, but I have the perception that in our side, if one of our own is telling us that kind bullshit, we call them out on it and that person is, for all practical purposes, political finished.
Whereas in the other side, bullshiters who survive, are hailed as heroes and promptly propped up, after all, without good bulshitters to sell their lies to the a) under informed and b) misinformed gullible masses, they wouldn't exist and we would be the better for it, because they not only pick the pockets of their suckers, they also pick our pockets and mortgage or plain plunder this Nations' Common Wealth once they are in power.
Blaming the victim and shooting the messenger has worked well for the hypocritical Right-Wing-Nuts, pardon the oxymoron please.
Sometimes I feel like bowing in awe to the high level of their gall and the outrageous bullshit they spew with a straight face, their chutzpah has become legendary.
Did Rob Stutzman, M. Whitman advisor, accused Nicky Diaz of a Federal Crime?
When asked about whether or not Whitman saw Diaz’ Social Security documentation, as Allred, her lawyer, insisted, Rob Stutzman said of Whitman: “never saw it … and guess who picked up the mail every day? (Nicky) was in control of it.”
According the Right Wing Site "Hot Air" : "Commenters are objecting that Diaz wasn’t “in charge” of Whitman’s correspondence. Well, according to Stutzman, she was — for a short time, at least, but long enough to get rid of any letters she didn’t want Whitman to see."
OK, the letter from the Social Security was produced, and Whitman's husband had to admit that 'it is possible that he seen the letter', but still and with the confirmation of Nicky's account, the fact remains that Stutzman was making a false charge by suggesting that Nicky committed a Federal Crime 'and guess who picked up the mail every day?'
The insinuation that since Nicandra was 'in control' of the mail 'for a short time at least, but long enough to get rid.....' confirms that Stutzman was taking this information straight from his ass,
This is how his assertion plays out: Nicandra picked up the mail for a short time, but long enough to intercept letters she didn't want Meg to see, and the timing was so perfect, the 'short time' was exactly when the letter arrived and you have to ask yourself, what about the other letters? Because it appears the the SSA sent more than one letter.
With the little that I know, messing with the US Postal Mail, is neither nice nor smart, because it is a crime and extreme violation of privacy, so I went to look up some sections of the USC 18 "Crimes and Procedures", I wanted to see the seriousness of the crime Stuzman was accusing Nicky of committing and the associated penalties, USC 18 Section 1702 is one of the more clear cut that would fit what he said Nicky did.
But it is possible that more could apply:
Destruction, Obstruction and Delay of Mail (18 USC 1700, 1701, 1702 & 1703)
Mail or Mailbox Destruction (18 USC 1705)
Theft of Mail (18 USC 1708 & 1709)
Crimes and Criminal Procedure - USC 18 Sec. 1702. Obstruction of correspondence
Whoever takes any letter, postal card, or package out of any post office or any authorized depository for mail matter, or from any letter or mail carrier, or which has been in any post office or authorized depository, or in the custody of any letter or mail carrier, before it has been delivered to the person to whom it was
directed, with design to obstruct the correspondence, or to pry into the business or secrets of another, or opens, secretes, embezzles, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
AMENDMENTS
1994 - Pub. L. 103-322 substituted "fined under this title" for "fined not more than $2,000".

Serious charges indeed, but with the document with the scrawled note to Nicky by Whitman's husband, I guess this point is null, but still... It irks me to see they will not stop at nothing in attacking Nicky, who is telling how she was treated and how she was fired.
She referred to these events as being treated as a dog.
It wasn't so long ago, in view that the people, in both sides of this ignominy, and who lived the times of the "No Negroes, No Mexicans, No Dogs" Public signs are still alive, can clearly see that people are being treated that way in this age and time in these United States. .
And since I'm ranting, I'll go into the human and inhumane sides of this story.
